    Looking at getting an Epson TW9300 projector to replace my BENQ W2000 and wanting to get into the world of (faux) 4K.

    What would everyone recommend please for a good quality 4K BDP that upscales 1080p well? I have narrowed it down to the following...

    Panny 820: -
    Good = Value, Apparently works well with upscaling
    Bad = Looks a bit plasticky / cheap

    OPPO 203: -
    Good = Excellent quality, build, features
    Bad = Cost, availability, Oppo left the BDP market

    Cambridge CXUHD: -
    Good = Based on Oppo 203, build quality, matches all my other Cambridge CX kit (AVR, Amp, streamer, CD player)
    Bad = Cost

    To add I will NEVER use the BDP with a 4K TV, always a projector.

    If you look on USA forums a lot of people are selling off their Oppos for a UB820 as it seemingly works better with projectors than the 203 does.

    Thanks for this, I very rarely look at the other forums.

    Randomly the 420 is down to £150 at Curry’s now and seeing as this has the same internals and processor as the 820 I’ve taken the plunge on one.

    I have both the Panny 700 that I use on my Epson 9300 and the 420 that I use on my OLED.
    Both work great, so you wont be disappointed.
