Folks,

Looking for a 46" LCD.

Must be 1080P (crazy not 2)

Want at last 2 HDMI's

Will use it with X360, SkyHD upscaling DVD player, and later maybe a PS3

It appears my choices are

Sony w or x 2000 (quite like the look of the W)
Sharp LC46XD1E (can't find a review online yet)
LE46F71B (no freeview) can't find a decent review

Anybody seen all of them and compared them before?

Any comments on SD v HD v Gaming performance of the above units ?

Any set I missed?

Thanks very much for any guidance/advice :smashin:

we have the sony 46x and its fantastic.
freeview is better than i thought and im in an area which has a low signal too.
hd footage is brilliant i watch via sky hd, planet earth, movies, hd footy etc.
xbox 360 is stunning too played gears of war test drive unlimited call of duty 3, i could go on.
i watch dvds via a sony upscaling dvd player ( u can see it in my signature )
all in all the hype is justified and whether u get this or the w, is up to u but even though the 46x is dearer its well worth it.:D

Sharp is suitable except for 360 use if you want 1080p, but isn't 730p the best option from that console anyway?

The Sharp has 2 HDMI inputs. 46" suffer from banding though. I have a 42" and it's great.:)

No the box360 is 1080p but MS dont have a lead thats HDMI at TV end but now I found out Sony have for PS3, I am sure MS will come out with one soon.

Thanks for the answers so far folks.

Bit of a virgin at this lot and am trying to make sure I get as future proof a tv as posssible and ensure I get the best picture possible. :)

Nobody has commented on the Samsungs, I am wondering if it is too new yet for folks to have really checked them out yet ?

Cheers
