I have just ordered a Pioneer 43MXE-1 and about to order a Dvdo Iscan HD scaler.

I have read somewhere on this forum that you need to purchase an additional Video board for the Pio.

As the Pio has a DVI input and the Iscan has a DVI output why is the extra card required?

The video board is not a requirement...as standard the panel has both VGA and DVI connections which accept PC resolutions only...if you add a video board then the VGA input will then be able to accept video resolutions also...the DVI input will still only accept PC resolutions...so for you I'd say that you don't require the video board.

    Cheers, Lee

just be aware that the DVi is not HDCP compliant but with an Iscan HD or HD+ you wont need the video board
