I purchase an 435XDE today and was working ok with hdmi and digital tv.

Turned it off and then switched it back on later. Media box switches on & screen clicks on with a black screen and then 4 seconds later both media box and screen go back into standby. I did set the no signal & power save options on before powering off but it won't even let me turn on menus or switch av inputs.

Is my TV proper bo%^xed or can it be reset at all. i have left power cables out of both for 30 mins and still nothing.

Help would be appreciated as not a happy bunny at the mo

have you tried returning it back to factory settings, or will it not even allow you to do this... directions should be in your manual

try the pioneer support, I had a couple of little niggles, not as major as you though, and they reply very quickly, usually the same day, and they were spot on with their diagnosis

looks like the media box has blown as it keeps powering up - black screen and then powers off.

connected up media box with just the system cable and nothing happens.

if you disconnect one part of the system cable it gives the media box not connected error so it's either the system cable socket on plasma or media box or cable or all 3

All i can say is that i ain't happy after only having the screen for a little over 1 hour.

well spoke to pioneer to day and they reckon that media box had shorted screen out and also media box connection. I took it back and got a full refund as i was not impressed with screen. 30 minutes has got to be the record for failure on any plasma.

Bought a PW7 from RS for £999 and very pleased with results.
