434 buzz and set up disc

My recently installed 434 has a buzz coming from the screen which is audible from 4m away with the sound at normal levels. I gather from other threads that some noise is normal but it does seem to be excessive on my screen. Does the buzz diminish over time or stay at the same level? If this is the case I think the screen will have to go back. Incidently the media box is very quiet.
Also, I have read much on other threads about set up discs but I am still slightly confused as to how you use them and where to get them.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Wingco
I have a Hitachi 42PD3000 now for 5 weeks and like your 434 have a "Buzz" coming from the rear top vent. An engineer has replaced the "Transformer" which he thought was the problem (Last Thursday) but it is still the same. I also have another problem which is lip sync through my Freeview box. If he can not fix this I will send this Plasma back.
As to a set up disc I also am thinking of getting one. I have seen "Digital Video Essentials" from Splashdvd.com for £12.99 I think.

Good luck

I have just installed my 434 this weekend and only notice a very quiet buzz when I am feeding my 10 week old boy at 3 in the morning when the volume is low!

Certainly not intrusive as you describe. However, the thing I comented to my wife tonight is the lack of high pitched whistle which I hear from all CRT screens. I don't know if any one else has heard this before or was I a dog in another life!

I could tell if the any normal tv was on before walking in the room. Now......an eerie silence:rolleyes:

As for a test DVD I have always wanted to get the Elvira mistress of the dark one when she is on a rollercoaster! Does any one know where to get it from?

It should not be audible from 4m away! I suggest you contact Pioneer. Regarding the media boxes you get very lucky with some of them where you can barely hear the fan....

Thanks for the info. guys.
Still buzzing and in the middle of a "discussion" between my supplier and Pioneer. Just a thought but could a better mains cable make a difference? Opinion seems to be divided.
