Must’s :

snappy OS and Apps
All the Streaming apps
4K
Must be 43 - can’t stretch to 49 - it’s replacing a 32inch with a large bezel... so 43 is tight - 49 impossible...
pause live TV

Nice :
HDR

uses are pretty much watching TV streaming apps and streaming content from my raspberrypi

I was looking at the Samsung q60 but it’s fairly marmite reviews?

thoughts ?

Samsung eu43ru7400 / 7470 at £399 from RS and Currys. I'm keeping an eye on these ready to pull the trigger.

how many years warranty does Currys offer?

yes ru74xx might be a wiser choice ..... thanks for that .....

Probably go with the 7400 from RS for the 6yr warranty.

No, RS say they will refund any differnce in price if bought now. Waiting to get paid lol

Th only thing i think the currys 7470 has over the 7400 is the nicer remote.

Its looking like at 43" the Samsung models are using IPS panels this year, but I cannot be sure, so they are not included in my guide.

There's much better value to be found anyway with the recommendations listed in the guide. Hisense are no slouch in the smart TV area and have all the apps.

You'll first need to decide what panel type you want from a TV, then you'll have to decide on a size and also how important true HDR is to you. There's links to guides helping you do that in the guide.

No need to spend as much money as the Q60R, its terrible value.
