    I might have the choice of both, viewing around 5m away. My questions are;

    1 - In theory will the 42" give a sharper image due it having more pixels on a smaller screen. Or will it not matter due to watching distance.

    2 - Are both HDMI inputs not up to much as mentioned on this forum.

    3 - Does a scaler, i don't really know what it does, make that bigger difference.

    4 - Can you fit 2 HDMI boards if reqiured.

    5 - And lastly what carn't these screens do which might limit there playing abillity in the future.

    Thanks in advance. :)

    1. Yes. Well HD and good dvd won't realy look softer, but low bitrate stuff will definitley look a little sharper on the 42".

    2. They are OK, but the analogue is just so good so why bother?

    3. Yes. But you will be more than happy without, more a case of don't look unless you are prepared to get your credit cards out.

    4. Yes, but look at answer 2.

    5. Not a lot really.

    Depends on which board you buy - both types of connection are available with the BNC option being much cheaper as (so I understand) it comes from the commercial department rather than the consumer department.

    When I bought my PHD8 from AV-Sales, I was told that there is no difference in performance.

    You can see the available boards here http://www.av-sales.com/products.php?cat=214&nav=16

    I would always choose the 5 bnc RGBhv board as you can then choose RGBhv or YUV with really good connections rather than RCA connectors, any deccent scaler will have RGBhv on BNC outputs.
