428xd vs g20

(Sorry for reposting, I'd posted this under "which tv should I buy", not realizing it's probably better suited here)

Hello there.

I'm looking to get a plasma 42 inch screen.

I've found an old Pioneer 428xd at one store,
a display tv that got forgotten at a good price.

I've also got the option of a pana G20 at 150 euro more
(considering I'll have to buy a hd avc receiver as well if I get the Pio)

Obviously they're both great quality tvs.
And I know I'll get full HD with the g20 opposed to the pio's hd ready.
But what I'm not sure of is how close they are considering overall picture quality.

truth is I'll probably be watching sd for 90% of the next 1-2 years,
so I'm not overly concerned about HD vs hd ready.

So really considering a 150 euro price diff, (just over 15% more expensive or cheaper depending on the choice),
what are your thoughts?

I'm looking to close a deal as soon as possible,
while the pio is still available,
and while the discount on the g20 is still available,
so a prompt reply would be greatly appreciated.

Can you find out how many hours the Pio has done and check for IR/Screenburn, scratches etc?

I'd honestly swap my G20 for a 428, if I could get one with a warranty:)
