Hi all, coming into a little bit of cash soon and thought i would get the big tv i always wanted.

Bought a Humax 9200 before Christmas and love it.

Dont use SKy and dont think i ever will!! Does this mean i can get a good deal on a non-HD set??

Will running the humax be any different to a set which has freeview in all ready, ie will the quality be any different??

Any help much appreciated..

Jordan.

Hi There

Make sure you demo any Plasmas you are interested in

And that it meets all your requirements and has all the correct connections

If you are positive you wont be using HD in the near future then cash can be saved by going the SD route, HD Plasma do not always mean better PQ.

As for the freeview, i can honestly say the onboard Freeview tuner is better than the add on one i have . Whether this is to do with there being less connections i dont know , dont get me wrong the PVR i use does record and playback in excellent PQ but it doesnt look as good under normal viewing.

Thanks for that.

Sp do you just run your PVR when you want to record something, im guessing its just tuned into another channel??

Yes

The PVR is just used now in place of a VCR because the onboard freeview is so good .

The PVR is connected via the RGB enabled scart on the plasma

Im vety happy with the set up
