42 or 50

    Plasma virgin here looking for the home cinema holy grail.

    I would like to know that rather than buy a 50inch would I get better quality from any of the 42's on the market. And if anyone mentions LCD I think my brain might just melt!

    Should have told you the following:
    Room is 24ftx20
    Viewing will be split 40% tv, 40%sky+ and 20% dvd and ps2
    Will also be getting sounds to match.

    Well you have a big enough room, I sit 9ft away from my 42" and that's great.... but.... bigger is almost always better:D

    If 1:- you will not be sitting right on top of it, say 10 to 12ft away or more

    2:- you can afford a it circa £5K


    Get the 50"

    Otherwise 42" is great


    PS don't get anything smaller !!! as if you would :laugh:
