    Hi, I'm in the process of rearanging & DIY and I have decided to
    improve my home cinema equipment & placement to be a better match for my living room.

    The first thing that I am going to do is mount my Hitachi 42PD5200 on the wall. The wall in question doesn't exist yet, so I'm not sure if I have prepared for the wall mount as best I could. I have planned for the following stud wall configuration:
    plaster board + stud wall cavety + plaster board + plaster board
    9.5 + 100 + 9.5 + 9.5 -> Plasma on this side.

    I am currently looking into various acoustic wall insulation/coverings so it could expand a bit more. Also, the studs will be positioned to best hold the wall mount and I can use as many as required to secure.

    1. Is this thickness of wall enough to hold a 42" plasma?
    2. Any pointers on specific placement of wall studs?
    3. What are peoples impressions on various mounts from Hitachi, Vogel, another make and any others that are known about.
    4. Has anyone any knowledge/experience with omnimount ceiling mounts.
    5. What is the best option? wall, ceiling pole or floor pole mounts?

    Any pointers are welcomed and appreciated.

    Colin
