As a novice, I have narrowed the choice down to three. I have Sky + with a Panasonic DMRES15 DVD recorder, I am not planning on installing a seperate Surround Sound system as we do not watch a vast amount of DVD's. May upgrade to SKY HD at a later date.

    Choices are:-

    Pioneer PDP436FDE
    Panasonic TH42PX600
    Hitachi 42PD9700

Whatever I buy will be wall mounted.

Recomendations please and the reasons why ...

    Many thanks in advance

I myself went for the Pioneer 436xde...

Why...Because if am going spend this amount on a plasma TV,I want the TV to look as good as the picture is..Plus it is much easyer to wallmount with less cables..

Plus i have always wanted a pioneer plasma for years,,,But i never could afford one with what there prices where a few years ago.

But i wouldn't go for a 436fde with only one HDMI input (and no PC vga input)...Unless your thinking of getting a AV amp later and running your gear through that..

Have you seen all of them for yourself with SkySD feeds?
