i have the light sensor off, but when i play hd movies from my computer, the picture will automatically dim in dark scenes, and goes back to normal when the scene brightens up... anyone got a clue as to whats going on?

also, only 1920x1200 fills the screen, i have bars with a 1920x1080 resolution from the pc..

Sure you have Full Pixel selected for your HDMI input?

May sound obvious but you have checked the individual input sources havent you?

What i mean is the auto dimming may be switched off on the freeview input but did you switch it off on the HDMI / computer input as well? Each individual input can be programmed and set up differently. Just a thought.
