My NEC ht 1000 needs a new bulb and to be honest its given me great service, but now its time to go.

What I am looking for is to spend 4 grand on something with a similar throw distance, positioning flexibility and size..

At the moment my sources are SKY HD and Pioneer dv 989 dvd player which upscales to 1080i, albeit a new Blu Ray player may come in the future. My screen is a 1,0 gain, matt white, self build, with 2m meter diagonal..

Thoughts, suggestions very welcome!!!

Take a look at the JVC DLA-HD350 or one of the new Epsons. Either would leave you with a bit of spare cash to - if required - get a screen upgrade.

Thanks. I must say that all these Pjs are physically so big compared to the NEC HT 1000 that I have got and I am looking at something a bit smaller. The JVC mentioned above is a big unit as are the Sonys I have looked at. Any ideas on something physically a bit more compact or are all Pjs getting bigger??

Thanks again

I moved from the NEC HT1000 to the JVC HD100 last year, it is bigger but a large improvement :smashin:
