    Hello,
I purchased a Toshiba 32zd26 28 months ago from Robertson's for £850 It came with a 2 year guarantee. The last 2 days it has stopped working correctly, the TV switches on but no sound our picture comes out then after about a minute it switches off again but once every 10 or so try's the TV comes on as normal, It will then stay on for an hour or so before switching off again. All the cables are in correctly and the set has not been moved or bashed. I would like to have a clear idea where I stand before I contact Robertson's and/ or Toshiba. Surely a £850 TV should last more than 2 1/2 years. has anyone else had any luck getting out of guarantee repairs by quoting Sale of goods act or the like?
    Thanks

    Carpeteyes,

It certainly should and they certainly have!

I believe 6 years is the generally accepted life of a TV, but do a search on this Forum and you'll see several threads.

    Good luck. :smashin:
