4 gang extension

Are there any rules to follow about going above 4 sockets.
I need a six gang extension to power sub,amp,sk+,TV,RF video sender, and DVD.
Are there any that are recommended?
 
Rule one is not to exceed the total power rating of the socket strip (although I doubt you would) and certainly don't exceed 13 amps via one socket.

You might want to consider a surge protector strip if you are worried about surges or a lightning strike?

Some strips also come with insurance that cover the equipment if they fail to protect it.
