I'm looking to buy a cheaap 'n' cheerful 4:3 28/9" TV to tide me over until I get my work bonus and can get a decent widescreen set... Finding guidance/reviews on these seem few and far between, so I was wondering if some kind soul out there could offer mr some advice on where to find advice or suggest a model that's NTSC and has AV in.

    Please help!

    Hello.

You could go for the following tellies:

    TOSHIBA 2987DB
    29" 4:3. Pro-Logic. 50Hz. 3 x Scart (1 x RGB, 2 x S-Video).
£419 approx net price (being discontinued)

    SONY KV-29LS30
    29" 4:3. NICAM. WEGA flat-screen. 50Hz. 2 x Scart (1 x RGB, 1 x S-Video).
£460 approx net price (new model)

    Both have 16:9 mode.

To check for the best price, have a look at http://www.price-guide.co.uk/ and http://www.pricerunner.co.uk/ and you can get John Lewis to price-match and get
5 years gurantee as standard with them (their internet price-matching policy
    ends on October 20th).
    http://www.garlandelectronics.com/ have a FERGUSON 33" 4:3 with a glass stand
for £419!!! I'm sorry but I don't know the specs, give them a wee call.

Let me know how you get on......
