no adulthood was more about kids. This looks more of a grownup film with a diamond heist and some of it is shot in new york, i saw a glimpse of that singer eve.

I think its very loyal of a director to use the same actors, after all people dont complain when adam sandler has rob snider in a film, or seth rogan is in a paul rudd flick, or when samuel l jackson appears in another tarrentino! Its admirable to see that kind of loyalty within the film industry!

And I have to say, the film looks immense! Nothing like the Hood films, completely different story and completely different genre, this is a action thriller, not a gritty real life london drama!

But dont take my word for it, go see it yourself before you write it off, no one can make any kind of judgement until they see it for themselves!!!

I'll be there in the front row, on opening night, NOEL CLARKE HAS MY SUPPORT!!!!

Oh no the award debate has crept in...things could get nasty :D

Oh well...Not everybody rates first class acting abilities on awards, as have seen time and time again ..they have a lot to answer for

You know as you posted in the other one. Two extra threads were started 2 by other newbies, one was deleted by a mod, i just thought it was a coincidence :D http://www.avforums.com/forums/movies-cinema/1228885-4-3-2-1-official-movie.html

edit - another 4-3-2-1 thread has appeared - http://www.avforums.com/forums/movies-cinema/1229160-4-3-2-1-official-trailer.html. Can't blame them for not trying to push the film.

Back on track, i will give this film a watch :smashin:

I don't mind directors sticking with the same actors, it's more the actors he uses I don't like. The cocky yoof accents and attitudes grate on me in films like Adulthood....unless Michaels Caines running around offing a few ;)

ah, yeah, harry brown, quality film! the language and slang of London youths can put people off i spose but that is wat that age group of people talk like nowadays, im from kent, the side not close to london, and everyone speaks like that round here too, maybe not quite thicke, but close. its like getting annoyed watching full monty coz of the accent. i'm a massive film lover and i often read forum posts bout the stuff i google and i joined yesterday purposely to post a reply, as i think its sad to hear people bad mouth other peoples work. i was brought up to believe if you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all. after all, not everyone is going to like the same things, but who are we to belittle other peoples efforts. im a writer and one day hope to be making my own films, and i'd hate to hear people judging some of my work before they've given it a chance!

Such a hard line campaign may well put AVF members off the film but like you I'll give it a go.

Any who's behind it? If it's the film producers/backers/company they're not doing themselves any favours.

It's a strange tactic that just seems to just be turning people off from seeing the film. Sure start a new thread if there isn't already one but creating multiple threads just seems pointless. :boring:

Very much so. As I've said I'd like to see it but I can see this will just turn off so many.

Cheers
