    3DMark Score - P8497, CPU Score - 8420 , Graphics Score - 8523

    CPU Q6600 (2.4GHz, 1066MHz FSB)
    RAM - 4gig (2x2) DDR2 800MHz
    GPU - Sapphire HD4870 1 gig
    Arctic pro 7, Seagate 750 drive, 500 Antec psu,Vista 64 etc etc

Doesn't seem high enough for me - it certainly didn't look very good when it was on screen! And on that note Crysis looked pretty **** too - in fact it looked worse than on my old 8800GT.

Anyone tell if thats about right or not?

    Cheers,

    Jeff

If you run a 3dmark06 I can help compare - below is all my data from all my old scores (on my mates little LAN website) with different chips running a 8800GTS, and now have a Quad 6600 as you do (although I OC'd mine to 3ghz).

    3DMark Score 12,227 Marks

    SM 2.0 Score 4927 Marks

    SM 3.0 Score 4949 Marks

    CPU Score 4640 Marks

Spec: Intel Core Quad Q6600 OC to 3Ghz, 4Gb Corsair 1066mhz RAM, PCI-E 8800GTS 640Mb GPU ([email protected]/1389/885) on XP 32 bit with v180.20 NVidia Drivers

Comments: [Feb09] Overclocking the GPU gave around 10% increase, and the OC on the CPU gave another 10%. I tested the GPU overclocks with FurMarks for an hour, and the CPU overclock with a quad core stress test for 12 hrs on Prime95. Been running everything with no problems.

[Mar 08] Just brilliant to find that my graphics card was being limited even with an E6600, and that upping the CPU to a Quad Core gave it even more juice to play with. I sort of had noticed that I was getting another 3 or 4 fps on Crysis, but its nice to have it confirmed by a proper tool.

    Old scores:

    10390 - Intel Core Quad Q6600, 4Gb Corsair 1066mhz RAM, PCI-E 8800GTS 640Mb GPU, v180.20 Nvidia drivers.

    8749 - SM2: 3877; SM3: 4060; CPU: 2097; Spec: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, 2Gb 533mhz DDR2 RAM, PCI-E 8800GTS 640Mb RAM, v169.29 NVidia Drivers.

    83xx - Spec: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, 2Gb 533mhz DDR2 RAM, PCI-E 8800GTS 640Mb RAM, early 8 series Nvidia drivers.

    5532 - SM2: 2851; SM3: 3289; CPU: 857; Spec: AMD 3500+ 2Gb RAM, PCI-E 8800GTS 640Mb RAM.
