3D/VGA/Gaming Query

Well, after six years I've decided to upgrade my old 32 inch Samsung. Ordered a LG 42LW450U because it'll offer two upgrades for me at a reasonable price. First is 1080p, my old samsung was 720p, and of course 3D.

However, after browsing the forums and discovering the much maligned input lag I have a few questions.

- Reports suggest VGA minimise input lag, therefore I was seriously thinking of buying a VGA cable for my 360. Question is though, will VGA still allow me to utilise 3D, or is it exclusive to HDMI only?

- Is it true I'll be able to play all of my games/DVDs in 3D? Although it wont be a true 3D experience, does the TV convert a 2d source to 3D?

- Last question, would upgrading the Firmware eradicate the input lag issue and allow me to use an HDMI cable instead?

Thanks,

Fair enough, but is 3D exclusive to HDMI or will I be able to experience the fullness of 3D if I opted for the VGA cable?
