    Came across this 3D dvd,

    3D dvd

Has anyone got any experience of these, are they better than the ones i memember from the 80's. It sounds like a bit of fun to demo your system.

Probably would work with a PJ as it says "3 versions of the film, each optimised for the viewing equipment available"??

I can't believe that they bring out a DVD like that, stick 3 versions on there and DTS and release it as 4:3

Saw this at my local imax, the 3d effect works really well (much better than that old red/green lens thing), the sound was really good as well. There's not much story to The Haunted Castle so as you said it is really just to experience the 3d effect in your own home. I guess it would work with a projector seeings it was originally made for imax.

3D stuff doesn't work with digital PJs (LCD/DLP).

Can't comment on CRTs though. "Light guns" for PS2/X-box etc...same situation, not compatible with digital PJs (or CRT PJs) either.

Good job if the results would be anything like I remember 3D in the early 80s :D

I know the old red and green things work with TV, I use to have a recording of The Mask and some coloured glasses and it worked fine.

I have Freddy's Dead with the 3D ending. The 3D is pretty good most of the time. There was a couple of shots that was mucked up and didn't work.
