    Hi

Wasn't sure which forum to put this thread in so apologies if its in the wrong place :)

Im currently after a sub £150 3D Blu-Ray player, I was just wondering if the PS3 is any good as of course you get all the added features of a games console, however I would want to get the best picture possible as Im soon to get a new TV and want to get the most out of it.

So is the PS3 any good or should I be looking at a standalone 3D blu-ray player?

    Thanks in advance :)

Bluray quality is comparable to other bluray players, and should suit your needs. Reasons I dont use mine for bluray though is fan noise, the remote, lack of multi region. It couldn't do 3d and hd audio at the same time but there may have been an update for this.

HD audio isn't an issue for me in the immediate future, I just plug into stereo speakers, is the picture as good as stand alone?

Maybe the 3d without HD audio is because it uses HDMI 1.3 and not HDMI 1.4?
