    Short and sweet guys,

What settings are you lot using on your 3910s when connected to a 42" LCD TV (like my 42WLT58)?

The instructions are pertty poor for the 3910, and the remote is a bit of a nightmare. I've seen a 720p setting on there, but am not sure what its for. . . . surely it cant display 720p ???

So what are the major settings with this DVD player, and what should they be set to for a 42" LCD?

    Ta all,

    Hi,

Assuming your lcd has the resolution, the 3910 will output 720 progressive and 1080 interlaced as well as 480 progressive and 576 interlaced.

My Panasonic PW6 is not capable of displaying 720p or 1080i so I have not had the pleasure yet.

Yes the 3910 does output 720p but it is upscaled to that. I have a philips HD LCD and Panny HD projector and dvd's look amazing on both. The upscaler on the 3910 is meant to be loads better than the ones found in your TV so if your TV is HD set the 3910 at 720p. There is a small button on front of the dvd player to go through them. Just keep pressing it until 720p appears.
