As you may recall my amp blew, soon after purchase.

Thanks to AV Sales it was classed as DOA and I received a replacement within a week. The replacement is in and initial impressions are very good.

One point of note is that in the home (as opposed to demo) setting, music sounds much better than I anticipated. I've not tried an SACD yet, but ordinary CD is impressing me.

The remote is still too dull, it's a stupid design, but the learning ability and macros make up for it. I'm considering turning an unused iPaq 3850 into a remote, will update on that when I've tried it.

Thanks to all here for advice.

I fear you will find this Ipaq's CIR is short ranged - 3m at best.
Flog it and buy a Dell X3 Axim instead, it's discounted now and goes 7 metres!
    I'm very happy with it.
Total Remote and PDAWIN both werk well on it.
    I hated the 3805 remote!
    Just my 2 eurocents...

Fair point, but I've ordered an extender from ultramote or whatever it is.

I'll try that, if it doesn't work the x3 is an option I am considering.
