3805 Looking to change speakers

Hi,

I have recently moved house and brought the denon 3805amp +3910 dvd player.

I am currently using the following speakers :-
Which were used on my old Pioneer VSA-701 amp.
Front L+R KEF k SERIES Bookcase type speakers.
Center Jamo 100
Rears Cannon SV15???

Question is I want to buy a sub/sat system and have short listed the choice down to genies/ cubes/ b&w mt-30. And just to throw a spanner in the works, would in be worth spending loads of money of the mission e83 elegance system? should I even listen to them?

I like listening to music but it will be mainly for film use, is there any where Between Brighton and London(central/west end) where I could audition all three of the above and make a purchase :)

My room is 21ft long by 13th foot going down to 10ft but I have an awkard cupboard which means that it is slightly L shaped. I Currently project a lovely 10ft image from my 5700 infocus on the wall, but the rear speakers will only be about 15ft away from the screen on the side walls of where we will be sitting.

I do not want to have massive speakers any suggestions on where i can listen to all three and which ones do you recommend with the denon 3805?

thanks for listening.

regards,

Paul

 Hi

I brought the MT-30 with the PV1 and it certainly sounds and looks the part.

I did have a listen to M&K and liked what I heard but was put off by the fact that they were 4ohms (Denon state you should not use 4ohm speakers) plus they were even more dosh than the MT-30s but did sound lovely.

Now running them in, and so far am very pleased.

Out of the 3 I think you probably chose the best.

Let us know how they sound after the run in. :)

Quad 11L sounded amazing with a 3805...

So... 4 x Quad 11L + Lcenter

if you don't have the space... maybe the new QUAD L-ite 5.1 system!
