    I'm a new owner of a 3805 and have to say that I am extremely happy with the sound quality from the Amp and speakers (Monitor Audio GR20) - but as always I am looking to get the most possible out of the amp so;

    Probably a stupid question - as I am sure you will say - "try it out and let your ears decide" - but I just wanted people's opinions who had done bi-amping this Amp using the free terminals?

    And as an after thought....any handy hints and tips with the 3805 that you might have?

    Thanks,

    R.

    If your going to use hte free speaker terminals ( im assuming your only using a 5.1 setup) you will actually be bi-amping and that (usually) has a marked improvement in stereo :D

    AS you said try it and see:thumbsup:

    Thanks for that Dfour....yes...my apologies, I did mean bi-Amping! and yes I do have a 5.1 setup (with bipole rears...... so damn confusing :D )

    I notice from your sig that you have "bridged bi-amp centre" - I have a centre that can be bi wired...can I also Bi Amp this and if so, how, with the 3805?

    I take it that this requires speakers with 4 terminals on them?

    As far as I know with the 3805 (nice amp) you will only be able to bi-wire it. To bi-amp it you will need to get hold of an external power amp and wire it tot he pre-outs on your amp. Then connect the lfe on the centre to the power amp and the hfe to the Denon.
    To be honest (with my setup) im still not decided if bi-amping the centre makes enough difference to be worth the extra space and cost involved. It may just be the design of the Evo centre.

    Anyone done this and get hum/hiss and discussed in the article?

    Anyone tried difference between tweeters on fronts and woofer on zone 2/3 and vice versa on this noise.
