I have read many of the threads about using the Denon 3802 with the Mission FS2AV speakers, but I have a question.

The mission speakers are recommended to be used with an amp upto 75w, but the 3802 is 105w. Does this make any difference, as I am thinking of buying this amp?

It's better for the amp to be rated higher than the speakers rather than vice versa. IMHO I don't think you will have any problems at normal listening levels, cranking the volume right round to play slade at a party might pose a problem or two but mainly with your street cred ;)

Yep. Not a problem. I think the most I've put mine up to was -5 befrore my girlfriend kicked me in the back as she had her fingers in her ears.

I had taped the speakers to her head though !!!

Caused no problems with the speakers and i had a large grin on my face. More than loud enough and didn't hurt the speakers a bit.

I'm thinking if getting this setup as well. But I was also thinking of getting the KEF's instead.

Anyone have any experience of using these ?

jag... there are quite a few people with the kefs and denon amp (2802 or 3802 up).

the kefs are better speakers than the missions, but only by a very small amount... negligible really... significantly more expensive though.

you maybe better posting a separate thread to get the Egg heads interested. :D

I've done a search instead and have find numerous comments from people. All seem to be very positive. I have heard these in action anyway and was very impressed.

yes, the kefs are excellent speakers... think they are still most magazines best buy or best set of the year... HCC and What Hifi.

preferred the look of the missions and overall setup (corner mounted etc) but thats my personal choice.

you pays your money and ..
