37px80 sound and blacks

what is the best sound setting music or speech i cant make my mnid up!
also when watching ntsc region 1 or 3 dvds blacks seem a lot lighter that watching pal ones any ideas?

Speech is better, in my opinion. Music puts on some odd effect that I dont like.

The blacks in NTSC are because they use a different IRE level, meaning our darkest black is 0 on the scale but theirs is 17 or something, I forget the actual number.

i tried a few ntsc discs and blacks were really quite poor ,never noticed before too much as i had an lcd.ill try a few pal discs tongiht to see.
ive watch a few films recorded off film4 and blacks are spot on on those
