I think their is a problem with my 37PV500PED plasma as their seems to be a lot of background noise (very high buzzing) coming from the back of the the TV.

I have been told by the shop that it should wear off!!!

However, do any of you think this is normal or a fault?

When I put my ear almost against the screen, I can hear a slight electrical 'sizzling' noise and a faint humming from what appears to be a fan. It is not noticable from a few feet away, unless it is completely silent. If you can hear it from viewing distance and during daytime/evenings (when there is regular background noise from outside, like people, cars, birds, wind, etc), then there must be something wrong imho.
