    Absolute Minimum 8 feet. Optimum 10 - 14 feet.

Jimsan is pretty much spot on - in my case I sit 9 feet away from it and it looks great for almost all viewing especially DVD through DVI-DVI. Sometimes slight pixellation is noticable on Sky (depending on the channel) - but this is really a Sky problem not a TV problem. I am really glad I went for the 37" rather than the 32", especially for movies - bear in mind that the majority of movies are shot in 2.35:1 aspect ratio - so you get a letterbox picture even on a widescreen TV - so having those extra 5" of screen size really makes a difference!
