I understand that the 37pf9986 has 3 scarts (2RGB) and one DVI input with no compnent input other than via an adaptor to the dvi input. I want to connect sky+ and denon 2910 to screen. Is it possible to connect both of these to a suitable av receiver and switch them to the screen via compent out or would it be better to stick with sky+ to rgb scart on TV and dvd to dvi on TV via component adaptor supplied with TV.

How would you connect sky+ to a receiver such as a denon 3805 or arcam 250 or is all this a daft idea. Is there a cable that convers scart connector on sky to component connections on an av receiver. Would it be better to connect the dvd and sky+ to the screen via a suitable scaler. Have heard that lcd screens are not to happy with sky signals and was looking for a way of improving the picture.

What would be the best way to connect dvd and sky to TV to maximise picture quality. Would a suitable av receiver help with picture quality from sky or would you need a scaler. Would an av reciver help with connection issues
