    Hi,

I'm totally confused by all the types and names.

What I'm looking for is a basic TV with very good picture quality, being my first non-CRT TV:

    SCART Socket
    Freeview HD
    Full HD

I Do not need, but don't mind if part of the model:
    3D
    internet access
    Smart features
    HDMI etc.

I only watch TV, so basic features are fine.

    Thanks for any info.

Nowhere that stocks the Samsung 39f5300 will take our old TV away. Not been wimpish about things, but the old TV is huge and needs 2 people to move it. I'd go up to 42" if that helped with the selection.

    Any other suggestions please?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

have been round and round and two models stick out, but let me know if some other model fits the bill...

Panasonic Viera TX-L42E6B LED HD 1080p Smart TV, 42" with Freeview HD
    Samsung UE40F5500

Picture Quality, FreeviewHD and HD are my only prerequisites.

Thank so much again for any help.

The F5000 supposedly has better PQ than the 5500. Not sure on the Scart though

    Most retailers state:
    Connectivity
    - HDMI x 2
    - Scart x 1
    - Component Video Input x 1
    - Composite Video Input x 1

If that's what you mean, i.e. does it have one.

Thanks for the selection of the F5000, prices range from £400 to £439. So would the Samsung be the best for PQ?

    Thank you again.
