Hi,

I've been researching a new 37" screen for my living room for a couple of weeks now and I've narrowed it down to two -

Philips 37PF9830 LCD
Panny TH37PV500 PLASMA

....but I can't decide which one to buy!

I want a screen that is HD ready as I have a X360 on order and will be getting Sky HD when it's released. I need progressive component inputs for my DVD player and I also want it to work well with SD images (sky+ RGB SCART).

The last requirement is that it needs to be black in colour.

I now can't decide which one as I've seen them both running and know all about the pros and cons of each of them. I read through the various threads on here and now I'm totally confused!

C'mon help me decide which one to get :D :D

Cheers,

Saw the 37" philips in the flesh, was great, but not worth the money...

But if you choose between the two, plasma just doesn't cut it in my eyes, always the fear for the burn...

Daxie,

Looks like the going rate for 37PF is £2400 online, so it's sort of in the ball park - though it's still £600 more than the panny.

Cheers,

N.
