    I currently have Toshiba WLT68

Toshiba Regza 37WLT68 Review | TVs | CNET UK

and have been very happy with it until now because it has 3 horizontal lines across the screen, getting darker all the time, so I need to replace. My space is limited so I can only fit a 37" or 40" if it is LED (width 95cm). I am also on a budget of around £500. Lastly my eyes are very sensitive to flickering , i.e. I notice it, which is why I bought the Toshiba with 100hz

Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated

    Thanks
    Steve

Samsung 40D5520 has a type of 100hz processing, there is also a 37" version

Both are £500 from John Lewis (some limited availability)

Thanks for responding. I hadn't even considered John Lewis for TVs. unfortunately if my limited research is correct, the samsung and lg telli's flagged as 100hz are actually 'Clear Motion' values and the 'Refresh rate' value is actually 50hz. But again, limited research

Indeed what's £90 over 5 years, especially with an extended warranty ;) Take her shopping, buy her lunch and flowers, she'll be cool

Happy New Year to you too
