I have noticed if I am watching the screen on Ext1 via scart the vertical position/image seems dead centre. But if I switch over to Ext4 using PS/component the image moves down about 4-5mm.

Why is this please and can you change the progressive scan display position only on Ext4 via the service menu?

Thanks, any other 32/36ZP48 finding this difference in vertical display heights on Ext 1 scart vs Ext 4 component/progressive scan?

And any TV techie got any clues what causes this please?

It's to do with the timing of the field sync.

The same effect (but horizontally) causes RGB pictures to be displaced slightly compared to composite.

You've probably noticed it because uneven black bars top and bottom are more obvious than a picture shifted slightly sideways.

Thanks TG, so basically everyones 32/36ZP does this and I'll just have to live with it, you cant correct it via the service mode menu?

Yeap I had noticed last night cause the little red dot in bottom right hand corner of the screen when watching the "your on sky sports" moved slighty in the horizontal position also.
