    Hi,
Does any one know what is the difference between 36ZP18 and this new Q model. Is Q model better than what we got now(ZP18)
    Cheers

    Hi,

It just so happens that I asked Toshiba that very question a couple of days ago but for the 32" model. Their reply was, and I quote" The 32ZP18P is now replaced by the 32ZP18Q.

The model 32ZP18Q is the same as the 32ZP18P except that:-
On the 32ZP18Q the teletext has selectable sub pages, it has a 100 page
text memory instead of a 500 page text memory and there is no split screen
display. The remote control is also different but has the same
    functionality".

Don't know what you think but it sounds to me as if they have perhaps been experiencing technical difficulties with their split screen and teletext on the "P" model?

    Regards

    Gezza

From what I've read on this forum, there was a problem with the teletext chip in the P (minor from what I can remember). I guess they've now got a different chip that can't do the slpit screen stuff but gives you the subpages feature instead (not sure how useful this is!). Skimping from 500 to 100 pages sounds like a cost saving feature to me (less memory)!
