360 wont play music and pictures from PC any more

HI

I had the 360 and laptop set up fine.
I was asked to upgrade Windows Media Player 11 today.
Now I can not play any music or pictures from my Laptop
Or use the laptops wi fi to go on to xbox live.

Do you still see your files through the xbox? Might have to redo the share on the directories through windows media player again. Not sure about the wifi issue though.

The xbox 360 can see my laptop though.

It took me ages to set this up before was fine for 2 weeks before today.

Ive set media player 11 to share files to the 360 still wont work.

I had nothing but trouble when using WMP11 so got rid of it and went back to Media Connect 2 and was streaming within minutes.

I like WMP 11 why can we not keep Media Connect 2? MS make it very hard to set up now.

check your firewall,

best thing is to disable it and then see what happens. I had the same problem.

My firewall is off.

One thing ive noticed is that you need your videos in My Videos folder and music in My Music folder in My documents.
