Has anyone made one or is there any sites with guides as to how one would be made. I am currently using it on my knee but its not the most stable.
    Any suggestions appreciated

    I use a seat from a toyota mr2 (MR-S for you non-UK residents)
Altough it is a bit low.
I was at Brummy Car Show last Jan. and there was a stand selling "bucket" style office chairs that were made of leather, I had seen them on the internet somewhere but can't remember where. I think they were £100-£150 ish

id also be interested in anything that can be found, wheel is packed up ready to go back next week unless i can find a decent solution that A wont cost a fortune , and B can be put away easily so mrs doesnt get annoyed.

I really wanted to like the wheel which i do but the driving position just dampens all the good points.

forza2 and cmr are not going to be much fun unless i can sort this

    you guys are right!!!

i got my wheel and was quite fustrated as it kept moving around on my lap.

i got one of these and it is ace its a table mate looks crap but does the trick. the wheel is excellent and i love it but i did have doubts before i bought the table mate. attached is a pic which i found on the net, not my set up i am currently sitting in front of a large image projected by a sanyo z4.

good luck guys, the position of the wheel is 100 times better mounted

That looks great and i would love something similar to that but with a more respectable price tag. The wheel itself was already quite pricey

what game was that in the background of their homepage?

What about a wheel connected to a rachet type stick with pedals on the end that you could put your feet on to use as well as keep the wheel in place on your lap a bit ??? (apologies, I've got absolutely NO experience of these wheels!)

    ta,
    Sword

ps, here's a guy selling a few different types on ebay:

    hello boroboy07

i googled it and found trend shop. thats where i got mine £26.95.

it can easily be folded away when not in use. It does not look very nice but does the trick ;)
