I was just listening to a internet radio station and they said that the Xbox 360 was sold out (pre-orders) virtually everywhere, they went on to say that Microsoft have already sold over 4,500,000 units. That's a awful lot for just pre-orders eh? It looks like Microsoft is definitely off to a very good start.

I wonder if the figures are true.

I have to agree.

I had originally ordered mine from Gameplay on about 22/8. I subsequently cancelled because we were thinking of moving house.

My order is with either Dixons or Currys in the local shopping centre. Cant remember which one since the wife did it for me.

I don't think the email actually says you definitely won't get one, its just not guaranteed and I ordered on the 17 August

I know play had it on their site for order for a short time at a speculative price before being taken down some time before the official price was revealed. Perhaps this is when they used up what they now know is going to be their allocation

4,500,000 ÷ 4 = amount of cutomers actually wanting one, now is that 1,125,000 people in the UK wanting it or worldwide?

Just had the same email and I also placed my pre-order on the 17th, cant be getting much stock I guess but luckily I have one pre-ordered with Game and one with Amazon (for me and for a friend who will pay cost price)

Don't see how this changes anything really. When i pre-ordered mine via Play it was never, at any time, guaranteed for the day of release.
I think i'll just hang on in there. Perhaps if a few hundred people cancel their pre-orders then we can all move up the queue a little...

The problem is people are all pre ordering from the same place. I think im still the only person on the list wear i live. I have payed for 1 in full and have 2 others pre ordered

Well for 1 m8 u dont need to buy them all and if you did you can take them back if you could not sale them.

The place im getting mine from side i can take it back with in 30 day's for a full cash refund.

So in my case i haved payed for mine in full. The other 2 are for friend and family if thay dont have the money then i will look at selling them on ebay. If ebay is to full of them then i will sale them on here @ cost then if no one wonts them i will just take them back to the shop for a full refund

So no loss my end

well i pre ordered about a month ago and the guy said id get one on launch day, he was prob talking crap but you never know!, if i cant get it il get my deposit back then just hunt around on the day

I am number 14 on my pre-order recipt from Game. I live in a small town and they said only the first 8 or 10 are guuranteed to have one . I hope I got one on launch day.
