I already have an AV amp, DVD player and speakers. I was going to buy the Tosh 36", but it seems a waste of money to pay for the processors and speakers included with that set. Any advice? I must admit, I would prefer a 36" TV over a 32". Also, I'm not convinced by the rear projection sets - they look poor quality.

I, however, can second the PL30.

I haven't noticed any moire patterns on NTSC stuff, but maybe I've never looked for it. I will keep an eye out in future

Well you can get the tosh for around £1500 now so that plenty under your budget.

I have one and only ever used the speakers on the TV for about a week until my 3802 and Kef Eggs came in the post.

Eversince they're been stashed up the loft gathering dust.

I bought this TV because it has a great picture (features withstanding) and its case is not as big as some of the other brands.

As far as 36" TV's go, I would highly recommend the Sony KV36FS70. The set looks impressive and the picture is fantastic - DRC really works!! I've had mine or about 7 months and I'm still impressed by it every time I switch it on!!
