I got my Toshiba 36zp18p yesterday which replaced my Sony 28" WEGA. In general, I am very pleased with my new purchase but the problem is this... I was very happy with the picture quality of my Sony but it just was not big enough. Now that I have received my 36" set, the picture just does not seen as well defined (I am not experiencing any of the other problems associated with the Toshiba sets) in terms of contrast and brightness. Is this simply because the same number of horizontal lines are being displayed over a larger screen? Therefore I guess I would expect this problem with all 36" sets. I have tried to adjust the settings but I just can't seem to get the same quality picture as my 28" set. I went to a couple of shops today to try and confirm what I thought and indeed the picture quality does seem to get better on the smaller sizes. Am I being too critical (maybe it's just a case of my expectations being too high)? Am I being too critical (maybe it's just a case of my expectations being too high)? Did anyone else feel the same way when upgrading to a 36" set?
