Phillips have a bad reputation with tubes giving up the ghost so i would go with the Panasonic tv personally myself. To back up my point by brother in laws Phillips tv had problems with its tube. Also that Panasonic tv you mentioned has received favourable reviews so its seems like a safe bet. Over and out.

The philips got Pixel plus, which is quite good on the 36pw9308.
    I would get the 9308.......
The panasonic "screen regulation" between 4:3, 16:9, zoom and so on...stinks...
Panasonic have something to learn from philips' auto adjust.

I agree and this is the reason why I rate Philips over Panasonic widescreen I'm afraid.

The Philips are sharper and have a ton of detail as well.

I've just recently read about Thomsons Hi Pix tellies as well, which are rated as better value on this site. They love lovely as well.
