I have set the viewing mode to a permanent 16:9 mode however during some broadcasts ie local news programmes the side of the screen shrinks in an inch or so and shows very wavy lines down the side of the screen. This only seems to happen on Freeview, with analogue the picture fills to the side of the screen.

    Any suggestions

I've had my 36zp48 for just over a week now (from John Lewis) and I've seen what I think is exactly the same problem. I've seen it on certain programs on Cbeebies e.g. Teletubbies. The screen switches in and out instantly between programs effected and ones that are not. I use a Sky+ box. I'm concerned that this is a fault. Anyone else seen this or suggest a cause ?

I've noticed this on my 36ZP48 aswell. It only happens on BBC channels, do they use a wierd format, ie: not quiet 16:9 or something?
