    Hi,

Been trying to get to the bottom of a strange feeling of claustrophobia after watching this set for a period.

Think I've cracked it. The problem seems to be that it's not
    displaying widescreen transmissions uniformly.

The image toward the top of the screen is being compressed, leading to say, news casters on BBC News 24 having small squat heads - this might be genetic :)

It's also apparent as credits scroll up the screen, you can see the text shrink as it progresses.

Any other 32PW9509 owners noticed this, or is it just my set.

    PS.
This could be a problem for 4:3 transmissions too, but it seems more noticable for widescreen broadcasts.

    Hello Goggleyes,

The symptoms you describe are due to a field linearity problem.

Basically, as the scanning beam moves downwards to make the picture, it's not travelling at a constant speed.

Assuming there isn't a fault, this should be easily adjustable in the Service Menu.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks TG,

I've got a service engineer coming out to have a look at a few things, so I'll add this to his list.

    Cheers
