Lo, I'm juggling with my choices for a new home cinema set up. I'm thinking about the Panasonic 32PL10 (which just had a corking review in What Hi-Fi), but my only real reservation is the lack of inputs. It only has two scarts (one RGB, one S-Video) and I have a DVD, NTL Box and Video to connect. Plus I want to connect the receiver if I can for the onscreen menu. The only way I can see it working with the best possible picture is as follows: - DVD (Pioneer 545) connects to TV through RGB Scart - NTL Box connects to pass through on the DVD player via RGB - NTL Box connects to Video via composite - Video connects to the reciever (Marantz SR4200) through S-video - Receiver connects to the TV via S-Video through the second scart. This seems an elegant solution, but do I lose any picture quality by using the DVD pass through or by sending the video signal through the receiver? Any help is greatly appreciated .
