    I am considering either a Philips 32PW9570 or JVC HV 32D40

    which is the one to go for, or are there better alternatives for no more than £650

    Do you know were in the north west (manchester liverpool) they might have the JVC or Toshiba 36 on display.

    Try a local Currys, Comet or Dixons.
    They would be the best bet, Let us know how you get on. :)

    House of Fraser seems to have them (well the Toshiba anyway) quite regularly as well, overpriced but gives you a good feel for what they look like :eek:)
