    Hi,

Title says it all! Really confused by the amount of choice out there.

Looking for good picture/sound. At least two scarts, as not planning Sky HD just yet.

Not sure about buying a refurb, electrical-deals items - Get great deals on Portable Audio MP3, LCD Plasma TV items on eBay.co.uk Shops! seem to be reliable based on feedback & google.

RS an option, though I'd have to travel 40 miles on public transport to do it.

    Any/all advice gratefully accepted

    Thanks,

    Watcher

Scart switch/splitter for a fiver? Potentially sacrificing a much better viewing experience for some legacy connections that can be split/switched?

What will you be using the 2 scart's for?

1 scart for sky+ and one for home cinema. I have a scart splitter in the bedroom (LG 19" flatscreen & dvd player). It doesn't work at all well, in fact the dvd constantly interfered with the the tv, so I've now disconnected the dvd unless I need it.

I read somewhere (maybe here) a while ago that scart splitters are notoriously inefficient, so I don't want one attached to my living room tv.

Guess like all things there are good and bad ones. Would your home cinema not connect by any other methods?

I even went as far as changing the scart from dvd to splitter, but it made no difference. I've got a feeling I may have changed the splitter too.

http://www.avforums.com/forums/crt-tvs/911446-scart-splitters-worth.html is the thread i was thinking of
