    Hi All,
My dad is after a 32" LCD, he will be watching through a Humax PVR9200TB and Toshiba 360 DVD player, any recommendations as to the best model to go for, budget about £500.00

Samsung LE32R87 at about £520, or the Toshiba 32C3030D at £480, seem good.

I bought the Samsung LE32R88 about a month ago, it's the same as the LE32R87, only this R88 is an 'exclusive' model to Dixons.

I'm very pleased with it and I paid £490 for it. It has loads of settings and modes to play about with and DVDs look stunning. I can't bear to imagine what they'll look like once I buy an upscaler!

It has touch-sensitive buttons along the side of the set, which I think are very good!

A few pictures of my set:

i agree the R87 is prob the best tv at that price range, if you can stretch the sony KDL32S3000 is a bit better, about 535

my brother's got the sony 32d3000 , the picture on hd and sd is simply amazing , even better than my 40w ( ouch )

plus you can get it on line much cheaper than the rrp

we paid £700 from 121 electricals and I'm pretty sure it's even cheaper now

10/10 set imo ( partic the amazing connections ) - apart from the sound - but you'd prob use external a/v speakers anyway
