I am curious to hear what effect my eq devices huge 30hz cut has had on my final sound, does anyone know any specific movie scenes that the 30hz region is used predominantly so I can listen to it whilst twiddling with the db level on my bfd, this way I can hear first hand whether the cuts I've made are better off being reduced?

Can anyone tell me what software I need to generate one of those graphs? Linux is preferred, but I'll use Windows if I have to.

Okay Im probably being really daft here but how do I read those graphs :(

I take it the red areas are where the bass energy is at its highest right?

Would the top of the graph be the start of the scene and the bottom be the end?

No you have the gist of it, I think the bottom is the start of the scene though. To find the best bits around 30hz look for large red blobs around that region. :smashin:
