I enjoyed this one too.
I've been meaning to get the proper release as all I've got right now is a copy of one of the workprints so I'm not even sure it's the version that got released. Even so, the opening 30 minutes and final 15 or so were great. The robbery itself was just so bizarre and I'd rank it as one of my favourite heist bits from a film, alongside the one from Heat.

Cruelly dismissed by critics stateside and not even getting a theatrical run in the UK because of it. Shame. The disc's a bargain though.

I thought Reel.com went bust, got bought out and then wouldn't ship to the UK. I take it that's changed now.

I was really interested in this film when I first heard about it ages ago but I then pretty much forgot about it after it's poor showing at the box office. I think you two may have just got me interested again though..... sold??

Despite a rough time with US critics, I found this a very enjoyable movie.

If you like tough, bleak, post tarantino neo noir, with copious use of contemporary editing techniques, then this is a movie for you.

A group of crooks rob a casino during the yearly Elvis convention, then fallout among themsleves. Sinister performance from Costner. Russell on cruise control, but still watchable. Nice supporting cast.

Sort of a "True Romance" meets "Payback". Violent, with a cruel, black sense of humour.

Excellent soundtrack with pounding tunes and thundering gun fire.

A must for action and Elvis fans.

    A bargain at $14 from Reel.com

Well I took the gamble, ordered that badboy and watched it yesterday..... Not as bad as everyone said that's for sure, great opening and closing shootouts and some really dodgey bits in between! Check my take on the film HERE

    Enjoy!

    Nice website Tee.

I've come across many a decent movie, just by word of mouth.
